The Caregivers Compass

The symbol at the center of the compass is a combination of the Greek letters "X" (pronounced "key") and "P" (pronounced "row"), the first two letters of the Greek word Christos, meaning "Christ" or "Messiah." The four points of the compass remind Stephen Ministers that caregivers should be trustworthy, compassionate, full of faith, and skilled.

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry is a program matching specially trained lay members of a congregation with people going through a tough time. The care receiver meets weekly with the Stephen Minister, who provides one-on-one Christian care under an organized structure of confidentiality, supervision and accountability.

Any member of St. Peters is eligible to become a Stephen Minister. If you are interested or know of someone who could benefit from this ministry please contact one of the Stephen Leaders at the church office or email the Leaders at: mailto:stephenministry(at)stpetersumcoc.org

This email is confidential and will only be seen by a Stephen Leader.
