I was born March 24, 1946 in Atlantic City New Jersey, the third of five children. I attended Atlantic City public schools and joined the US Army after high school. Serving in the in the Viet Nam era, the majority of my three years were spent at Fort Campbell, Kentucky in the 101st Airborne Division. After service, I returned home to meet and marry the love of my life, Carol Bruce. As a veteran, I was able to take college courses in the evening while beginning what would blossom into a family of four children. After entering full time in Atlantic Community College for three semesters I took a job with the phone company.
Life has its ups and downs and the two things I find most important in my personal life are family and trust in God. Both family and trusting God work in support of the other. Even as I’ve gone through some difficult times, neither has been a disappointment to me. I find something distinctively wholesome in people who give their lives to improving their relationship with God. Improving this relationship reaches beyond our individual and personal choices, it is to do good to all humankind wherever possible. God strengthens us and consistently enlarges the family circle through our compassion for others.
