Carol A. White, the First Lady of Macedonia United Methodist Church in Ocean City, New Jersey was born in Philadelphia. The former Carol Bruce, she moved to Atlantic City, New Jersey at the young age of seven. Her first and standard reference of herself is “a child of God”. Carol enjoys visiting and worshipping with others who know and lift up the love of Christ.
Married to Rev. Johnnie White for 36 years, she is the mother of three children, one step son and four grandchildren, all of whom she is very proud. Carol fondly tells you how she knows that God meant for her and Rev. Johnnie to be together.
While serving with her husband at the discretion of the United Methodist Church, she remains a member of the Hamilton Memorial United Methodist Church in Atlantic City. Carol is a Certified Lay Speaker, Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Macedonia UMC choir, an officer and member of the United Methodist Women. Not one to sit still, she has started a First Sunday Coffee Fellowship following the morning worship service. People have been heard to say that they chose to visit on that Sunday, because of the fellowship.
Carol is a nurse, which is not surprising as she is a pleasant person to be in the company of. She is a humble and caring person who rarely lets the opportunity go by to share God’s Grace or lend a helping hand.
