Update from USA!
Hi everyone,
I have been working on sending an updated email for the last week but each time I sit down to write it I can’t. I know it has a lot to do with being back and the fact that I will not be returning to Russia until June (if then) with the Youth Team. My heart is hurting and broken, I’m not really dealing with my feelings because I still don’t want to believe it’s over! I have only cried once while I watched a DVD put together for me of my pictures which made me really know that I’m home. I will not have anymore lessons with my younger students or see Anya over the weekend to work on her English and my Russian.
I am thankful to see my family and friends. Sometimes I feel bad about having those feelings of longing to be back in Russia. I also think back to those first couple of weeks when I didn’t know if I could be in Russia and for how long. The months did pass by so fast! I know the Lord has a plan for me and yes sometimes God tells us no or the plan changes (Our idea of the plan not his plan).
I have got my house back together, working on getting a job, found a car and am trying to work on my emotions. Thank you for all your love over the last 5 or so months. It is a real blessing to have so many people to pray for me and love me with the good and bad. I will send out a update about my job and going back to Russia. Please keep it all in prayer along with the mission in Smolensk! The Lord is good so I don’t have any fears! <>< JulieJ

Julie,
I just ran into your blogs while doing some research on what happened to the UM Church in Smolensk. I was a leader with the first Peace Camp in Smolensk as well as spending 3 weeks teaching there staying in Olga's flat. I am working on an article on Smolensk for a zine I write for about the early days. Please contact me at rscottmiller1@aol.com
